Anita Ekberg, a Swedish actress and actor who was in Sweden during the 1950s until 1970s. She was featured in a variety of European films and American ones. Most famously, she is known for her role in "La Dolce Vita," the comedy-drama film. The film received an Oscar and the Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival in 1960, it was also critically and commercially successful. Before pursuing her acting career, the Swedish-born actress worked as a model in the fashion world. She was eventually crowned the Miss Sweden contest. Her move to US and started to be seen in various films as minor characters. The first time she had a role that was acknowledged by the director was in the film 'Abbott and Costello Go to Mars In the film, she was an Venusian guard. In the following year, she won the Golden Globe award in the "Most Promising Newcomer," category after appearing in the film "Blood Alley'. Her appearances in other movies throughout her career.
